Family meals are super important in the Penner house. There is barely a day that goes by that we don’t sit down to at least one meal together (and sometimes more).

This September it’s Family Meals Month and the new rebranded Smart & Final is a great place to shop and save for all your meals. They have great private label brands like Ambiance, La Romanella, First Street and Cattleman’s Finest. These brands are top quality and save you a ton of money.

As a bonus, check to see if your local Smart and Final offers Instacart. If they do you can get “$5 off and free delivery with promo code: SMART5.

My Lemon Pesto Chicken is not only a fabulous meal. It’s also quick and easy as well as family and freezer friendly. The recipe below serves around 4 (with leftovers for my family) but you can easily double or triple it for multiple dinners.

Another great tip if you want to use fresh produce is to use a company like Imperfect to have products like fresh organic lemons delivered to your home.

I just recieved my first box and I was very happy with it! It included some super yummy fruits and veggies (including a bag of organic dates) for a great price.

It was delivered straight to my door and I had the option of customizing my box. Unfortuntaly I forgot and missed my customization window. But even so, I was pleased with my box.

Check out Imperfect to save time and money on your groceries! Use the code IMPERFECT25 and get 25% off your first organic box like I did.

Yum! I'm loving all these freezer meals. My family won't know what hit them. They'll be so surprised I spent hours slaving over a hot stove. :) #client

I can’t wait to try this recipe! Would this work well if I put it in a casserole dish with pasta on the bottom and froze it for later? I would thaw then add cheese.
