Let’s see what a complete daily menu of Paula Deen’s Recipes Remade for Weight Watchers Freestyle looks like!

As usual, I will give you the points value for the original recipe and the new Freestyle points value.

Paula Deen’s Sausage Pancake Egg Sandwich makes my mouth water. No doubt about it. But at 16 Points per sandwich, there is no way I’d eat this since it is more than half my daily points. And the original recipe makes 20 sandwiches, and I’m sure they are not very big.

Time to change it up for way less points and way more sandwich. Here we go!

1/4 Cup of Kodiak Cakes Buttermilk Flapjack Waffle Mix**

1 Scoop of Quest Vanilla Powder

1 Egg White

1/3 to 2/3 Cup of Water

Vegetable Cooking Spray

Premade Breakfast Turkey Sausage Patties (Recipe found here)

2 Eggs, Sunny Side Up or Scrambled

1 Slice of Borden Fat Free Cheese Slices

3 Tablespoons of Sugar Free Maple Syrup

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Mix the first four ingredients together thoroughly. Start with 1/3 cup of water and if mixture is too thick add a bit more water up to 2/3 cup.
  2. Heat a Belgian Waffle Iron up according to directions. When the waffle iron is ready, spray grids with Vegetable Cooking Spray well. Pour waffle mixture and cook until done. Keep warm.
  3. In a separate skillet, make eggs according to your preference. Add cheese on top of eggs to melt.
  4. Slice the warm waffle down the middle and assemble premade turkey sausage patty, egg and cheese and top with other half of waffle. Serve with 3 Tablespoons of Sugar Free Maple Syrup for dipping.
  5. This makes 1 Waffle Sandwich at 4 Freestyle Points. Enjoy!

**I use this waffle iron. It makes a thick Belgian Waffle, just make sure you really spray the waffle iron before pouring the waffle batter into it. Like – right before adding the batter, not when the waffle iron is heating up.

When it’s done, I slice down the middle to make 1 Sandwich (2 Waffle layers). But, if you want to make 1 Big Round Breakfast Sandwich, it will be only 8 Points if you make 2 Belgian Waffles. And that’s even with adding 1 extra slice of the Borden Fat Free Cheese, extra eggs and turkey sausage patties. YUM!

Also, feel free to switch out the turkey sausage patties and use 1.5 slices of Canadian Bacon for no change in points.

There’s nothing I love more than a good chicken salad. I never thought of adding pasta to chicken salad, but after eating this, there is no going back to chicken salad on bread. Paula Deen’s Fettucine Chicken Salad sounds delicious and creamy, but each serving will be 17 Points. We can’t have that, can we? Let’s Freestyle-ize this recipe.

3/4 Cup of Hellman’s Light Mayonnaise

1/2 Cup of fa*ge Plain Greek Yogurt (Nonfat)

1/2 Cup of Fat Free Sour Cream

Who doesn’t love Filet Mignon? I mean, it’s always the most expensive thing on the menu and to me, the smallest steak entree ever. Aside from the cost of Filet Mignon, there’s the points too. Although Paula Deen has a recipe for Poor Man’s Filet Mignon, it’s still not as low in points as it could be. Not to mention a 4 ounce portion would be 9 points and the size is not enough for me so back to the drawing board I go.

24 Ounces of Ground Turkey Breast

1.5 Tablespoons of Kitchen Bouquet Sauce

1 Egg Yolk

1 Teaspoon Each of Montreal Steak Seasoning, Garlic Powder, Dried Parsley, Fresh Ground Pepper & Salt

4 Slices of Center Cut Bacon

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients together and form into 4 patties.
  2. Cook the bacon until browned but not crisp. Drain on paper towels. Don’t cook the bacon so crisp it will snap if you bend it.
  3. Wrap bacon strips around formed patties and secure with toothpicks.
  4. Put patties on a foil lined baking sheet and broil for about 15-25 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking time.
  5. This makes 4 large “Mignons” at 1 Freestyle Point each. Enjoy!
